Pluralsight: Learn Tech Skills App Reviews

The big problem with this app is that during the streaming of a course it stop to play and one have to close and reopen the app. The catalog sometime disappear. Poor set of features compared with website. The iPad is my preferred way to watch these course and Im paying enough to deserve something more user friendly at least working. This is useless.

It is weird that this version was advertised as the version where Pluralsight had listened to users not being able to watch offline courses. The lessons of Troy Hunts Azure course I had downloaded before the update are _still_ not working: they just dont start unless I have an Internet connection, or I had watched the entire lesson at home. This app has eaten all of my Januarys 4G connection because you never understand if it is really playing offline or not. And it never gets better. Edit of feb 3rd: if you delete and redownload the courses, they will finally work online.

Invalid user name and password every time, Fix it plz!

It would be great if I could access this app and also the AppleTV app using my Digital Tutors sign in. Wheres the access for these accounts on your app? The mobile site leaves a lot to be desired as well even if the app seems to be pretty rough from those that can use it.

I have been waiting for months to see a fix but never worked at all. No content can be found after signing in...

My only issue with the app had been that it didnt sync with my progress when learning through a web portal such as on my laptop. Thankfully that issue has been resolved and I like the new interface. Ive been using Pluralsight since they were Trainsignal and theyve come a long way. Customer support via email is very responsive.

Over a year since absorbing digital tutors, still wont allow them to log in to the pluralsights app. "Were working on it.." Maybe they can use their own tutorials to figure it out?

The will not stream to chromecast, the video loading icon will flash indefinitely but will not display on the tv.

I signed up via digital tutors....

The wifi connection on my iPad Pro 9.7 inch disconnects and reconnects while using the Pluralsight app. No other apps seem to cause this problem. I love Pluralsight content however, it has been impossible to consistently stream videos. Other streaming apps like YouTube, CBT Nuggets, and MSNBC work fine on the same wireless networks.

Ive been trying for hours to get videos downloaded but nothing happens or the app crashes. Love the videos but the app needs to be fixed. Hopefully asap!

Are you kidding me? Still cant login with digital tutor credentials? Over year now? Level of ineptitude is pretty egregious. Get your &@$?! together!

Works well on iphone 6 using wi-fi.

This app has made leaps and bounds since 3 years ago when I first downloaded it. Keep the improvements coming!

Chromecast feature not very great

It has been commented before and is true that the content on PluralSight is fantastic and a great learning tool, but the app leaves a lot to be desired. Theres a lot of functionality found on the website that simply was not translated over to the mobile app. It is extremely difficult to find videos that youve already been watching on the website. The search function is not incredibly useful. You not have the ability to find bookmarks created on the website nor do you have the ability to create bookmarks within the app. This is the same for playlist as well. You are only given the ability to download modules to be viewed offline later A lot of work needs to be done before I can recommend the application to anyone.

Some ability to filter or sort by release date

For a tech company that has techies as their primary customers - this is a very badly written and designed app. Bad UI bad UX bad performance :( Super slow to load anything. I have been trying to watch a course for a week now and it just spins. I ended up switching to safari and watching it there and it loaded instantly (the web app is decent but needs work too) Come on guys hire one of your great instructors to build you a proper app and improve performance. This is not rocket science - Its a simple app that streams videos!!!

A lot of these videos are not loud enough for a subway, gym, etc.

This is simply stated is complete garbage. Its gotten to the point where I am going to cancel the service all together. Discoverable is non starter. Its way too difficult to find all the parts of a course in an easy to follow manner. Then the main reason for this app and the higher price is Offline viewing which is incredability important to me with the amount of travel I do and its a complete nightmare trying to get it to load, then download, then stay on and then play seem far to diffuclt for a tech education company that teaches programming to master it seems. If you need an example of a good app check out the Lynda.com app. Fantastic. Maybe they should sign up for Lynda and learn to write a decent app there.
